Samantha and Chris had a beautiful spring day for their wedding at Hidden Valley Farm! Their shared their heartfelt vows and said “I do!” next to the pond and in front of family and friends.
As I got to know Samantha and Chris over the last few months, I learned that they wanted a laid back wedding day with simple decor. To them it was all about the moment they became husband and wife, and sharing the special day with their family and friends. They did a fantastic job making their dream come true! Their decor was rustic, simple, and beautiful. Their day was very laid back with many people present long before the ceremony to help with set up and finalizing items. They flew with the breeze, took each item in stride, and truly enjoyed their day with loved ones.
When I first arrived at Hidden Valley Farm I checked in with Chris and Samantha separately. Both said their day had been great and they were having a lot of fun. I love this! Wedding days can be very stressful for some, but Chris and Samantha set an expectation to relax and have a lot of fun with their big day. What a wonderful outlook!
As soon as the girls were ready we headed across the lawn to a quiet grassy area near the Mill House for photos. This Mill House is original to the property and is beautifully rustic. Here we had some laughs to loosen up and captured some beautiful shots of Samantha and her bridesmaids. This was a perfect start to my photography for the day.
Soon it was time for the ceremony, where the wedding party took a long walk from the corner of the property to the ceremony space near the pond. Though it was a long walk, it provided an opportunity for some unique and beautiful mountain view shots while they approached. As Samantha entered the aisle, Chris turned to see his bride for the first time in her dress. His expression was priceless! He dropped his head in awe. So sweet!
Throughout wedding party photos and the reception it was wonderful to see the sweet looks and words shared between Chris and Samantha. You could feel the joy and excitement when around them. It was also fun to hear Samantha and Chris’ story from guests. They had been together 10 years before they got married, and as their best man said in his toast, “It’s about time!” ♥
After 10 years of being together, I want to congratulate you both again! Best wishes for many happy years to come!
