Happy New Year! 2018 was a fun year for us here at JMP and was filled with lovely couples, new to us venues, and many fantastic receptions! We had a blast and wouldn’t change a thing!
As you know, getting to know our couples and their families is something we take pride in. From the first moment we meet each couple we learn about them and they learn about us. By the time their wedding day arrives, we know their needs, wants, loves, and truly make their day special. They get to know us too, and that makes a perfect match. This year we even had a couple who brought US a gift on their wedding day, and it matched our personalities exactly! It was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture!
Throughout the year we were honored to photograph weddings at some venues we have before like the Botanical Gardens at Asheville and Highland Brewing Company. We also photographed weddings at many new to us venues like Reflections at the Pond, Brahma Ridge Event Center, Bull Creek Ranch, Willow Falls Events, Timber Hall Events, The Swag, Roan Mountain State Park, and even some of our couples’ back yards. All boast beautiful properties which are nestled into the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. Asheville, Hendersonville, and western North Carolina have become a top destination for weddings and it’s easy to see why. The wedding venues are top notch and have gorgeous mountain views, beautiful grounds, and incredibly helpful management. There are so many fantastic wedding venue options in this area, I truly can’t imagine being an engaged couple and having to choose just one!
Inviting guests to Asheville, Hendersonville, and the surrounding communities makes perfect sense for a destination wedding, too. There is so much to offer in this area of the mountains. From mountain cabin rentals to luxury lake houses, award winning wineries and breweries, and internationally known artists, there is something for everyone. Time and time again we meet family members and guests at a wedding who tell us that they have enjoyed their visit and simply love this area. There really is something about this area of the country that draws people in, and we are always grateful as we love hosting them.
As you can tell, we absolutely love the area in which we live, and love capturing couples’ weddings here. It is an absolute honor to meet wonderful couples and be a part of this special time in their lives. We have a true passion for capturing still images of a couples’ big day as they spend it with their closest friends and family. Gifting a couple and their family these photographs to relive the day and cherish for generations to come is why we love what we do.
