This fun family of four was a blast to capture in their very own front yard in Asheville! With lots of giggles in the hammock, tickles on the front step, and kisses all around, it was wonderful to photograph this family! 

When I arrived at their home for their family photography session I was greeted by a sweet and excited little boy, who was very ready for me to take his photo! Sage’s big smile was kind and happy. It was the perfect greeting!

As I said hello and got out my gear, the kids started playing. I jumped right in to capture this Saturday morning front yard hangout and I’m so glad that I did! Right away, little Thora was digging in the front garden with her Mommy and it was the sweetest capture! She pulled out decorative mushrooms, played in the dirt, and watched quietly while her big brother played near her. 

Throughout the session I photographed incredible natural emotion and connection from this beautiful family. One of my favorite parts of the session was when the entire family got in the hammock together. With big smiles Nick and Heather lifted the kids into their laps for a light swing. Soon the tickles started and roaring laughter came just behind. The kids' big expressions and true smiles came out here and it was amazing to capture it all! 

Just before our session ended Sage wanted to take me to the back yard and show me the garden they have been tending to all summer. He looked for a few straggling blueberries, he showed me their vegetables, and he kindly entertained his little sister so that I could catch a few quick couples photos of his parents. It was the perfect ending to a fun Asheville family photography session.
