With the sheer busyness of my fall photography season I just realized that I haven’t publicly posted any of Paul and Sandy’s elopement photos! A few minutes ago I was scrolling back through my social media accounts looking for the posts I made about Paul and Sandy’s beautiful mountain elopement and to my surprise I did not find a single one! I am in disbelief because their elopement was absolutely beautiful and a ton of fun to capture! I guess this is what happens in the height of my busy season when I have more content to post than hours in a week!
So, without further ado, I welcome you to browse through Paul and Sandy’s mountain elopement in Columbus, NC, just outside of Asheville. They chose the prettiest private property to rent for their elopement where their closest family and friends could all stay together and enjoy themselves for a long weekend. It boasted beautiful west-facing mountain views, open fields, a serene pond, and the most perfect spot for their elopement ceremony. When I arrived I was truly stunned! In our earlier conversations Paul and Sandy told me this place was beautiful, but I did not expect it to have so much to offer and be so incredibly private!
The day of Paul and Sandy’s elopement in mid November was the last truly warm day we had here in the mountains. The air temperature was around 80 degrees, a rain storm had just pushed through the area so the humidity was very high, and the sun was peeking through the remaining clouds and shining down on us. We were all pleasantly surprised with the warm temperatures and were so very happy that the rain storm passed by before the ceremony time. It gave Paul, Sandy, and their families time to set up and decorate their chosen ceremony site with their gorgeous rustic decor and personal touches. It was beautiful!
Throughout the ceremony and time we spent together taking wedding photographs after, Paul and Sandy were the kindest and sweetest couple. Their excitement to be married was sky-high, their love for one another was incredibly abundant, and their happy tears flowed and flowed. It was incredible to see the two of them so very happy and have their big day be everything they envisioned.
Congratulations, Paul and Sandy!
