Emma and Steve are engaged! Steve’s sweet proposal at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC was simply perfect! He truly surprised Emma with the biggest question of their lives and she said yes! 

Steve contacted me about photographing his marriage proposal weeks ago, and I’m so glad that he did! I could tell by the tone in his emails that he was very ready to ask Emma to marry him, and that he is very ready to spend the rest of his life with her! He was confident and quick to respond, knowing exactly what he wanted! 

The day Steve chose to propose at Biltmore Estate was absolutely beautiful. The sun was shining, the air was very warm for this winter season we are in, and there was a light breeze. The estate was bustling with guests who were touring the grounds and enjoying the gorgeous warm day and holiday decorations. 

As our scheduled proposal time drew nearer, I saw Steve and Emma walking my way, along the edge of the Italian Garden. They were enjoying themselves with coffee in hand and with Emma having no idea what was coming next. As they rounded the last coy pond and settled into their scheduled spot, Steve turned to Emma and said a few words. He then dropped down on one knee and Emma was shocked! She set her coffee and hat down on the ground and turned to Steve with her full attention. I was too far away to hear their sweet words, however I did hear Emma gasp with excitement just before she bent down to kiss Steve. She said yes! Their excitement and joy was through the roof! Steve and Emma took their time enjoying the moment for many minutes, which was the sweetest to capture! Then, Steve pointed toward me, telling Emma that I had been there to capture the entire thing! She gasped again and couldn’t believe it! She was over the moon and was so happy to have the entire engagement photographed! As I walked up to congratulate them, Emma could hardly believe what just happened. She was totally surprised, and I’m sure this was the best surprise of her life!

For the rest of our time together we walked around the gardens at Biltmore Estate photographing their love, joy, and excitement. Emma and Steve shared the cutest moments and it was an honor to capture them!
