History, charm, and style are brought together perfectly at Monte Vista Boutique Hotel in Black Mountain, NC. The space is beautiful, unique, and ideal for a wedding!

Last week I took a tour of Monte Vista Boutique Hotel and was overjoyed with the idea of photographing a wedding there! As I walked through the historic building it was easy for me to envision a couple and their guests enjoying a wedding day. The front porch is wonderfully inviting, the back courtyard is beautiful with natural brick and soft lighting, and the ballroom is gorgeous with its hard wood floors and tall ceilings. With so many on site amenities, much of the wedding preparations can be done in this one space! 

One of my favorite things about Monte Vista Boutique Hotel is the plethora of photography options right on site! My favorite is the front porch. It’s spacious yet cozy, shows the history of the building with its antique brick and fixtures, and opens up to beautiful pine trees providing a canopy to the area. I truly feel like I could photograph all of a couples wedding photos right there on the front porch and they would be completely amazing! I wouldn’t though, because some other spots on the property cannot be missed, like the back courtyard. This courtyard is a perfect spot not only for couples photos, but also for a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or even a reception. It’s open air, surrounded by the beauty of this historic boutique hotel, boasts a gorgeous stone fountain, has fire pit feature, and has soft lights that are a perfect addition to any evening event in the space. It is truly beautiful! 

Monte Vista Boutique Hotel in Black Mountain also offers over 40 guest rooms for accommodations, on site catering through their restaurant Milton’s Cuisine and Cocktails, a beautiful historic ballroom for receptions, and is right in the heart of downtown Black Mountain. It’s location is ideal for a long weekend of guests wandering downtown, heading to Montreat for hiking, or even taking a short drive into Asheville. This wedding venue in Black Mountain is truly a gem, and I cannot wait to photograph a wedding there!
