We had the most gorgeous private property in Brevard, NC for this extended family photo shoot! With creeks, little waterfalls, trails, old fences, and more, it was an amazing location with a beautiful and fun family!
This gorgeous family gathered from across the country to spend a week together in our beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. They rented this expansive property that boasts multiple homes and plenty of space for the kids to run. It really was a perfect setting for this family, and we had a ton of fun capturing their photos there!
When I arrived, everyone was almost ready for me. As they finished gathering, I wandered around the property and loved what I saw. There were open green spaces, little nooks, and lots of character! We started our session part way down the long dirt driveway. I loved how the rustic fence and tree line framed this family for their extended family portraits. It was beautiful!
As we continued through their family photos we found additional areas near the creek, waterfalls, and bridge. It was a damp day, and I loved how the moisture made nature’s colors richer, and helped the tree branches hang low.
I also loved this family’s dynamic. They were all so excited to get photos with one another- the cousins, the sisters, and more. During extended family photo sessions I often ask the adults kids to form a group hug around their parents. It sounds silly because they are adults, but what happens is practically magic! Everyone smiles, the Moms usually tear up, and it makes for a fabulous photo, just like the one you see below.
I had a wonderful time with this family and am truly honored that they asked me to capture this amazing time for them!
