This handsome little nugget was an absolute gentleman for his at home newborn photos here in Asheville. He slept, yawned, and slept some more, even next to his four legged sibling.

When I arrived, Beckett was very settled with a full belly and was sleeping the day away, which is a perfect start to any newborn session! Since he was so content, I started right away with photos of Beckett by himself. At only 6 days old he was still very curled up and absolutely precious. He easily took my adjusting him, swaddling him, and even pulling his feet out of the blanket. He truly was content and I loved every minute of it!

All the while I was capturing photos of Beckett, the family dog was lying nearby, taking in the moment. She kept an eye on us, but stayed out of the way, patiently awaiting her turn to be in the photos. When it was her turn to shine, she did a beautiful job! She was sweet, kind, and gentle, the perfect match for a newborn baby. Plus, I adore when families want to include their pets in photos. Our pets are another member of our family, and I always encourage their inclusion!

For photos with Mom and Dad, we moved into the master bedroom where there was beautiful light and a big open space. Beckett showed off his snuggling skills with Mom and Dad, and welcomed his big furry sister to the photo session.

This sweet little family was a joy to work with and I adored every minute of it. It’s always an honor to be welcomed into a family’s home to capture their big life moments!
