This beautiful couple gets to meet their little one soon! Their family will grow by two more perfect little paws, and I am beyond excited for them.

When Nicole and Mark contacted me about scheduling their maternity photos here in Asheville, NC, I was excited as always, but when they told me they were going to bring their two dogs, I was thrilled! I always encourage my clients to include their pets, because honestly, they are part of the family, too! Plus, for many couples without kids, their pets are their children, through and through. This is the case for Nicole and Mark. They trained their dogs for hunting expeditions and the dog’s skills are incredible!

Even though we photographed this session in the winter, the day was warm and calm. It made for a perfect afternoon at the NC Arboretum. The grounds were quiet, and the winter views were amazing. Nicole and Mark did a fabulous job snuggling right in on one another for their couples photos, and of course the dogs were on their best behavior. We wandered the grounds to find our favorite little nooks, mountain views, and open green spaces. I mentioned earlier that it was quiet at the NC Arboretum that day, and it was so quiet that we often felt like we had the place to ourselves! We loved it!

Some of my favorite photos of the day were Mark snuggling in on Nicole. Their connection is so sweet and strong, and it photographed beautifully! Of course I loved the photos we captured that included the dogs, too. Honestly, dogs and babies (even baby bumps) are seriously the cutest combination! These two dogs were amazing during the photo shoot and they are beyond excited to meet their new baby sibling! It shows, and they told me themselves!

Congratulations, Nicole and Mark! I am beyond excited for y’all to meet your new babe!
