Let’s stop and talk about this beauty for a minute! Honestly, look at that precious face and those beautiful locks! This sweet girl was a rock star for her family photo shoot with her parents and her doggy BFF.

When we arrived at The NC Arboretum in Asheville, NC, for this family photo shoot, dark clouds were rolling in and we all thought that we would have only a few minutes for photos. With this thought top of mind, we jumped straight into photos with no ‘warm up’ time for this little one, and she was so lovely and easy going about it! She rolled with the fast pace and shared her beautiful smile and beautiful personality with me!

As it turned out, we were in some sort of magical dry bubble and never got rained on, so I got to spend even more time with this sweet family! As we toured The NC Arboretum, we spent time taking photos near the quilted garden, on the walking paths, and on the lawn with mountain views. Everywhere at the arboretum is beautiful, but I sure do love the quilted garden and the lawn with mountain views. Both are so unique and fun for kids to play around, and for parents to snag a few minutes for a couple’s photo.

One of my favorite parts of this session was that this beautiful family chose to include their dog. Pets hold a very special place in our hearts, and as I talk about in 5 Tips for Including Pets in Your Family Photography, I love capturing them with their favorite people.

Review: ✰✰✰✰✰ "When we arrived to our photo shoot location it looked like rain. We really did not wish to go through the process of getting a dog and toddler ready again and making the drive. Jessica quickly sprang into action and started taking pictures. We were thrilled that she was determined to capture our family portraits despite the potential rain. She was able to put us at ease and get a bunch of great pictures, despite the added pressure of the weather. We are thrilled with the outcome and we know that we will cherish these photos for years to come!"
