Asheville Family Photography With Mountain Views | Mason Family

Wow! Talk about a BEAUTIFUL family in a BEAUTIFUL setting near Asheville, NC! These gorgeous photos give me all the feels! The snuggles with Mom, the real emotion and connection they are all sharing, the tall grass and flowers, and that mountain view are all truly perfect! I love these photos so much that I want to make them wall art in my own home! Seriously though, don’t these photos look like they are straight out of a lifestyle magazine? Gorgeous!

Family photography holds a special place in my heart. I know that a big part of my service to families is to freeze time for them so that they can look back at this age of their children and this time in their life, and can relive the feelings and emotions they had. It’s a powerful thought, and a powerful thing that I get to be a part of every single day.

This particular family has been in front of my camera since the kids were barely walking. It has been such a huge honor to watch them grow, right in front of my lens! I LOVE capturing their connections, love, and silliness all at the same time! I love it for many reasons, but one of my favorite things about photographing this family is that they trust me to lead them and guide them to beautiful photography. We always work to choose a location together, and ensure that the location has areas for beautiful portraits, as well as room for them to play. It’s important to this family (and me!) to capture real and natural candid photos of them playing together. This is a wonderful approach to family photography because it truly shows them as a family at this exact time in their lives.

During every family session I capture candid photos of the family playing together, though it can be hard for parents to trust that process, since most people think of family photography as portraits and staged photos. All family photos don’t have to be that way, and I ensure that every family, during every photo shoot, has at least a little play time to really capture their true family dynamic and BIG laughter! That’s “the gold” as I say, and I am here for it every time!

This family is always a blast to hang out with and photograph. They are so kind to one another, and truly love to be together. I hope these two children stay best friends forever, and I hope they let me capture their sibling love forever!
