Asheville Proposal Photographer | Best Proposal Locations in Asheville

Congratulations! You’re going to get engaged! Asheville, NC is one of the most beautiful places on earth to ask your partner to marry you, and soon, you’ll see why. From lush floral gardens to long range mountain views, we have it all!

Plus, I am located right here in Asheville and am happy to help you plan a perfect proposal! I am rated #1 proposal photographer at Biltmore Estate, which is a location you will find on my list, and I LOVE capturing proposals all over the mountains! Wherever you choose to get engaged in Asheville, I would LOVE to help you set it up and capture the entire thing…the ask, the ring, the emotions, and all!

Since I do this often, I am very well versed with being nearby when you arrive, but pretending to take photos of trees, architecture, etc., and seemingly have no idea who you are or what you're doing. Then when you start to propose, I can quickly spin around and capture the entire thing, no matter the location!

1. Biltmore Estate

We are so lucky to have this expansive 8,000 acre estate right here in the city of Asheville! Its beautiful manicured gardens and conservatory have flowers in bloom all year, so there can always be a pop of color for your proposal! Its iconic mansion style home sits overlooking the mountains with an incredible mountain view to its west, giving us the most amazing backdrop we could ask for. Its quiet lagoon area highlights the back of the house while looking over the water for a truly picturesque scene. There are many other beautiful locations for a proposal at Biltmore Estate too, like the lesser known nooks and crannies that I include on my curated list of location ideas! Wherever you choose to get engaged at Biltmore Estate, it will be absolutely beautiful and something that you two will never forget!

2. Craggy Pinnacle

Who can pass up 360 degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains for their engagement photos in Asheville? This stunning mountain top proposal location requires a short hike, but is 100% worth it! After walking along the tree lined path and up the stone steps, you will step into a place where you feel like you are on top of the world! Since the views are long range and in every direction, this is a fabulous spot for a sunrise proposal, sunset proposal and everything in between! It’s truly stunning for engagement photography!

3. Botanical Gardens

Situated only a few minutes from downtown Asheville, this park like setting is a perfect place to wander with your partner, and pop the question when you’re ready! With beautiful spots along the creek, in front of native plants, on the trails, and on their lush green space, there is a plethora of locations to ask your partner to get engaged while in Asheville!
