What a sweet proposal this one was! Michael held their baby daughter as he asked his partner, Hayley, to marry him at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC! I LOVE how baby Charlie watched intently as her parents professed their love for one another and got engaged!!

When Michael first contacted me about photographing his proposal to Hayley, he mentioned that they were taking a trip to Asheville with their one year old daughter, who is the light of their lives. Right away I LOVED that this meant that their daughter was going to be a part of his proposal. I knew at that moment that the three of them were going to share this incredible occasion together. I was not at all worried about where baby Charlie would be, or where she was positioned, because I knew that the more natural we left it, the more beautiful this entire thing would be! I’m so glad that I took that approach, because it turned out perfectly! 

As Michael got down on one knee to propose at Biltmore Estate’s esplanade, he simply sat Charlie on his knee and asked Hayley his big question, with the engagement ring in his hand. Charlie looked on as her Dad said his sweet words, as her Mom said “Yes!”, and as the three of them promised to spend the rest of their lives together. It was the sweetest thing that I have seen in a long time! 

Getting engaged at and proposing at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC requires some logistics and planning. I LOVE to be a part of any surprise, and especially proposals, so I am always happy to help button up the final details! In this case, Michael did a fabulous job not only juggling the details, but also including his daughter! I loved capturing every minute of this sweet proposal!
