Biltmore Estate Maternity Photography | Emily + Andrew

Gosh! I am still gushing over Emily and Andrew’s maternity photos at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC! Emily’s red dress and beautiful baby bump were absolutely perfect in front of this stone mansion and I cannot get over it!

Emily and Andrew are the sweetest couple and are so very excited to welcome their first baby into the world. I am so very excited for them, too! You see, this isn’t the first time I’ve photographed Emily and Andrew. In December, Andrew planned a surprise marriage proposal for Emily, also at Biltmore Estate. After touring the estate he dropped down on one knee at the edge of the south terrace overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, and I popped out of the crowd and captured the entire thing! (You can see his proposal here!) Emily was beyond excited and totally surprised. It was magical! That day we had a blast capturing their love, and now six months later we are back at it! This time, we have a new little love to capture, too.

When I met Emily and Andrew at Biltmore Estate for their maternity photos it was like we had just seen each other the week before! We all fell right back into place with conversation, laughter, and fun. I LOVE starting photo sessions out this way, it helps the couple relax and makes for an extra fun session together!

Since we were there early in the morning we took advantage of photographing in the gardens while very few guests were present. I set Emily among the rose bushes to start, with the conservatory in the background for extra dimension. She was absolutely beautiful from the very first shot! Just look at her! She is completely glowing! From here we moved farther up in the walled garden and then onto photos on front of Biltmore house. We also took a little detour out to the knoll that sits below the south terrace. It is one of my favorite spots on the estate as it’s very quiet and rare to see other guests out there. It’s such a beautiful spot to take in the natural beauty and boasts a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge mountains, too. We wrapped up our time together with an outfit change and some photos in the azalea garden, capturing a few more bits of of this gorgeous couple and their baby bump!

Emily and Andrew are always a blast to be with and it was amazing to photograph them during this special time! They are totally in love with this baby, and I loved capturing it for them!
